1. Map Layer Control (back to top)
All available data layers are organized and listed under the map layer control feature. Click on the layer categories to open the specific layers. You can choose which layers are visible in the map display by using the check box to the left of the layer. Use the mouse to place a check in the box if you wish to make a layer active or to uncheck a box to turn a layer "off." If the box next to the layer is checked, that indicates that the layer is either drawn and visible in the map display or will be drawn on the map the next time the "Refresh Map" button at the bottom of the page is pressed. Some layers will only become available or visible if you are sufficiently zoomed in on the map display.
Please note: after selecting/unselecting any map layers, you must click "Refresh Map" in order to refresh the map display with your selections.

ZOOM IN
This tool allows you to zoom in and view a smaller portion of the map display. Upon starting the application, the "zoom in" tool is active by default. Simply click the button, then place the mouse cursor near an area on the map which you would like to zoom to. Left click your mouse button and while holding it down, drag the mouse to draw a red, rectangular box to specify an area you would like to take a closer look at. The smaller you draw the box, the farther in you will zoom.
ZOOM OUT
This tool allows you to zoom out and view a larger portion of the map display. Simply click the button, then place the mouse cursor near an area on the map which you would like to zoom out to. Left click your mouse button and while holding it down, drag the mouse to draw a red rectangular box to specify an area you would like to take a farther look at. The smaller you draw the box, the farther out you will zoom.
PAN
This tool allows you to move the map display without zooming in or out. Simply click the button, then position the cursor over the map. Left click your mouse button and while holding it down drag the mouse in any direction to drag the map display to a new map display.
LEGEND
This tool opens the map legend in a new browser window. The Legend explains symbols used on the map display, which vary depending on the layers selected and how far you are zoomed in.
ZOOM TO FULL CITY
This tool allows you to zoom out to the full extent of the map area. Simply click the button and the map view will refresh to the entire map area (the initial map view visible when you fist enter the map room).
OVERVIEW MAP
This tool allows you to view an overview map of the entire city. Simply click the button and a small map will appear in the upper right hand portion of the map window. At most scales, a yellow box in the overview map will show the current zoom extent of the larger map window. Simply click the button again to toggle the overview map off.

PROPERTY FEATURES
When available, links to the jurisdiction Comprehensive Plan and county reports can be found at the bottom of the FEATURE tab after a specific property has been selected. The links will open pages where you will find additional business and development information.
4. Map Display (back to top)
This area contains the map display. The map display changes as you "zoom in," "zoom out," "pan," or use the site selector feature. You can manipulate the map display by using the map navigation tools.
5. Pan Compass (back to top)
This tool allows you to move around the map display without zooming in or out. Click in the direction you want the map display to move. For example, if you want to move the map display to see a point north of the current map display, move the map display to the north by clicking on the north arrow.
6. Searching for Properties (back to top)
PROPERTY SEARCH
This feature allows you to find available retail, mixed-use, office, industrial, and residential development sites for sale or for least by performing a query search for sites that meet your criteria. You will have the opportunity to select the minimum and maximum size of the space (sq. feet or acres), the type of site (building or land), and the type of site (retail, office, industrial, multifamily or hotel/motel) you're looking for. After pushing the "Search" button, the property search will generate a list of properties which meet your criteria. Choose a property from the list and the map will zoom in to the selected property and detailed information will be presented at the bottom of the page. Most of the detailed information on this page comes from the listing broker while some of the data is provided member jurisdictions.
DEMOGRAPHICS
This feature allows you to view some simple demographics for the same zip code as the selected site.
PRINT
This tool allows you to print the current map display view. Simply click the button, A new window will open containing the current map display view as well as the detailed property listing information.
